Does coffee help burn fat?

Your excess coffee intake could be problematic. Caffiene can lead to increased blood pressure, insulin dysfunction, hypoglycemia, low blood sugar, sleeplessness, irritablity and lack energy. Caffiene stimulates the adrenal system causing a release of insulin. Insulin pulls stored glucose from muscles and the liver and shuttles it into the blood stream. Hence the 'jitters' from drinking coffee. When your body cannot use this blood sugar(glucose) immediately, the excess is stored as body fat. If you drink coffee everyday, you could be blocking your system from burning stored energy(body fat) for fuel. In addition to the detrimental effects of coffee on your metabolism, it is also a carcinogen. A coffee bean is roasted at a very high temmperature. When this happens during the cooking process, cancer causing carcinogens are created. For coffee addicts that have been consuming barrels of these carcinogens for years, they could be creating a breeding ground for cancer. Not recommended for preagnant women, it has been linked to fibroid-tumor formation in breast tissue and birth defects in unborn children.
